I'm on a highway to... anywhere!

A recent weekend shopping adventure in Seattle had me on the hunt for a new cool find and I finally found one that I just had to share. A perfect coffee table book, “36 hours” gives us just what we we’ve been waiting for – the excuse to get away. It’s time to pack that suitcase and hit the open road: with 150 weekends in the USA and Canada, the possibilities are pretty much endless! From sunset walks along Big Sur beaches to antiquating the streets of the Rue St-Paul in Quebec City,  36 Hours offers up something to do for every minute of your weekend getaway. If you’re feeling generous, this book makes a fab gift; give it for the holidays (69 days and counting, people!),  an anniversary present, a not-so-subtle hint to your partner, or our fave: a treat for yourself. Stunning imagery, a wicked cover (making it an easy decor piece) and super cool suggestions for each city are the trifecta that make us love it -  it's great for those spontaneous quick trips and hidden gems you don’t want to miss.

Available at your local Anthropologie or if you love to shop online, you can purchase it here.

Street Style Haute List: April 10

EASTER BEST Easter hits us full Spring ahead. I spotted this week's fashionista, Sara,  walking out of The Fairmont Vancouver after enjoying Easter brunch with family and friends. Her fresh tangerine dress is perfect for such an occasion, celebrating spring and all it's colourful creations. Sara's light grey cotton button-down, vibrant orange dress and turquoise belt are all from Oak & Fort in Gastown. Her add ons include a Marc by Marc Jacobs classic percy bag accompanied by ankle boots from Aldo. Hope you all had a great long weekend!

I'm in a Tangerine Trance

Pantone has declared Tangerine Tango [ref. 17-1643] the color of 2012, moving from 2011′s honeysuckle pink into an orange frame of mind, calling it a “spirited reddish orange that will continue to provide the energy boost we need to take charge and move forward”. Bold, bright, and versatile tangerine takes us on a vivid colour journey this year. This tone can be muted and worn daily or if you’re daring, as the focal piece. Orange hues can be shown in a variety of shades, anywhere from corals to the reds, all the way down to pastels and orange-sherbets. I find myself caught in its trance, dreaming up ways to incorporate this new colour. Below, a series of ways that Tangerine Tango can be integrated into the home, style and cosmetic beauty! - Chelsea Jackson

I spotted Emily exiting a local Delta coffee shop wearing a lovely leather and denim combination. She was sporting a Mackage leather Kenya, denim button down from Aritzia, Rayban’s and black jeans from Urban Outfitters. Her black and white vintage Marc by Marc Jacobs sling backs, from Front and Company, completes her effortless yet chic ensemble.
